Turkish Airlines
In early 2009, at Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Turkish Airlines asked Lantal to develop its interior outfitting concept. Among other elements, the project included laser-cut, pleated curtains with tulip motifs as well as leather headrests with embossed logos.
The project involved three phases: a renewal of the airline's corporate identity as well as implementation in its wide-body and short-haul aircraft.
The contract consisted of an OEM program for 105 new aircraft – Boeing 777s and Airbus A330s – as well as the refurbishment of the existing fleet of 149 aircraft. Overall, it covered more than 20,000 seats. Lantal delivered the following products and services:
- Project management, design, and development services
- Ready-to-install leather seat covers
- Seat cover fabrics
- Leather headrests with embossed logos
- Pleated, laser-cut curtains with tulip motifs
- Class dividers, also pleated and laser-cut
- Carpets
